Mrs Carmichael was so gentle and reassuring through all my appointments, from discussing my breast cancer treatment plan to greeting me warmly on the day of my surgery. Her calm demeanour, empathy and understanding made me feel I could wholeheartedly trust her to do the best possible job for me during surgery. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done so far and just really hope that she will be able to do my reconstruction in the future because I genuinely believe that she will always strive for the best outcomes for her patients.

Mrs Carmichael quickly put me at ease and reassured me that all was well following a mammogram. However I did have a small cyst which could be removed with a local anesthetic. She gave me the choice of making an appointment for a later date to have it removed or if I waited for about 45 mins she could do it. She was very pleasant and easy to talk to, as was her assistant nurse. I was happy to have it removed that day rather than to go home with the continued discomfort of the cyst and to wait however long for an appointment letter to arrive. I didn't feel a thing. She even booked me in for a follow up appt whilst I got dressed. I was very impressed by her efficient manner and her obvious caring friendly demeanor.

This lady is kind, hardworking and excellent at what she does. She is a total hero to the people she treats, making them feel safe and secure. I was given a detailed, reassuring and empathetic diagnosis, then talked through my breast cancer operation in detail. On the day Mrs Carmichael was so busy and I was her last patient of the day. She remained calm, dedicated and professional and friendly all the time. She has done a beautiful job of my surgery and made sure the incision sits below the bra line, even though this wasn’t the easiest approach. I thoroughly recommend this consultant.
